Bentodoro is a study timer created by Felix Macaspac. This privacy policy covers the Bentodoro website and app.
This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, which services help run the app, and how to contact us about your data.
You can use the timer without an account. Features that save your study history and plans require you to sign in.

We collect data when you create an account, save work in the app, or contact us. We also collect usage and performance information through analytics.

Account details
When you create an account, the information you provide may include:

- Username (if provided)
Study data and settings
The app stores information you add or create while using its features, such as:
- Pomodoro sessions (work minutes, break minutes, completion status)
- Tasks (titles, descriptions, completion status)
- User settings (theme preferences, default modes, goals)
- Timestamps of when records are created or updated
How do we use your data?
We use this information to:
- Run and maintain Bentodoro

- Provide the features you choose to use

We use commercially acceptable measures to protect personal data. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Services that help run Bentodoro
We use other companies to host app data, manage sign-in, and understand how Bentodoro is used.
Providers acting on our behalf may access personal data to carry out those tasks. They are required not to use or disclose it for other purposes.
Analytics: PostHog
PostHog helps us understand page visits, interactions, and performance. The data can include page URLs, browser and device details, and usage events. PostHog may use cookies or browser storage to recognize visits. Read the PostHog privacy policy.
Browser storage, Supabase, and embedded media
Bentodoro stores timer settings, layout, appearance, and sign-in information in your browser. Clearing site data can remove these settings and sign you out. Supabase handles account sign-in and stores saved study data, including sessions, tasks, subjects, and preferences. Read Supabase's privacy policy.
The Spotify focus music player and other embedded media can connect to their providers and use cookies or identifiers. Each provider has its own privacy policy.
Does Bentodoro use advertising cookies?
Bentodoro is not currently serving Google ads. If ads are enabled, Google and other advertising providers may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers to show and measure them. Advertising cookies can allow Google and its partners to show ads based on visits to Bentodoro and other websites.
You can manage Google ad personalization in My Ad Center and learn how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services. You can also manage or remove cookies through your browser settings.
Links to other websites
Some links open websites run by other organizations. Check their privacy policies before sharing information with them.
We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Children's privacy
Bentodoro is not intended for children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has shared personal data with us, please contact us. If we learn that we collected a child's data without verified parental consent, we take steps to remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The latest version will be posted on this page.
Before changes take effect, we will notify you by email or a prominent notice in the app and update the date at the top of this page.
